Do you  think this is the correct thing to do or is it O. T. T. Woke behaviour?
The Dolls have been part of a display for several years before someone decided to be offended and cause all this performance.
I have a golly doll, have had him since I was about 5 years old, I still love him to bits, heaven help anyone who tried to remove my much loved doll.

well, I'm glad the local police had the manpower to waste - how do I go about claiming to be offended by however claimed to be offended?

I don't see it as a police matter.  The doll was loved by lots of children, I certainly didn't know its significance when I was looking at the labels on Robertsons jam.  However,  I wouldn't have one nowadays although I believe lots of adults still do. Personal choice, and an understanding of what they came to represent.

In case anyone is interested, my wife has just informed me that there is a shop in Robin Hood bay that sells golliwog dolls.

Perhaps not for much longer...they're banned on eBay. I get why our generation liked them as toys. But that was then.  I've never seen a child with one for years.  Its been Super heroes and Disney Princesses for a long time now.
