What's gone wrong with the world today
Nothing like it was in my younger day

GrannyMac

What's gone wrong with the world today
Nothing like it was in my younger day
We look back through rose tinted glasses
But I know some great young lads and lasses
It's just different, now we're old and grey.

Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Scrumpy

We laughed and played -had our scraps
Conkers ..spud guns .. kiss chase and craps
We stayed out till dark looking for ghosts
Then went home to mum for a Sunday roast
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

We laughed and played -had our scraps
Conkers ..spud guns .. kiss chase and craps
We stayed out till dark looking for ghosts
Then went home to mum for a Sunday roast
We didn't stray far, no need for maps.

With aunties, nans and cousins too
And friends and neighbours, who we knew
The streets felt safe when we were out
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Scrumpy

With aunties, nans and cousins too
And friends and neighbours , who we knew
The streets felt safe when we were out
No nasty people hanging about
And we hid from the rent man when he was due
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

I recall Dirty Ernie over the park
We never went there after dark
He may just have been a poor old man
How can you tell? You never can

I recall Dirty Ernie over the park
We never went there after dark
He may just have been a poor old man
How can you tell? You never can
When my dog saw him, he did so bark.

Fish & Chips was a couple of quid
The first in the queue was always Sid

Fish and chips was a couple of quid
The first in the queue was always Sid
A packet of Embassy was 2/6
And Woolworths had Pick 'an Mix
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..
