I binned my smart meter display when the meter stopped working when I switched provider. The Octopus usage pages are pretty klunky so I was pleased when I came across an app that shows the smart meter data.

It took a while before it started getting the data for my meters and I did have to turn on the electric meter display in my setting for some reason but it managed to pick up my provider and tariff automatically. You do need to prove your address by providing credit card data for one registered to the address. There is no charge made. I haven't expolored all the options. I just wanted a better view of my usage than the Octopus site which shows kwh of electric and cubic meters of gas rather than money spent which is pretty much useless.

There are lots of energy cost saving tips. User added ones. They don't seem to be vetted as one is "Build your own nuclear reactor"
