Off to visit lordruthio in his Nursing Home
Life is very strange these days

How's he doing, Ruthio?

Is the home far from you, or is it easy for you to get to?

Ruthio

It's a permanent move, he won't be coming back here, he needs full time nursing care.
The fall (September), shock, trauma, surgery (½ hip replacement)pain, sudden change of scene (several times), any of these things would've exacerbated his condition  (Parkinson's) and he's had the lot over the last couple of months.
He's  not walking now, has had several more minor falls, but needs a scan each time as he's on blood thinners and there's always the chance of a brain bleed if he's knocked his head falling.
When we got to the Home this afternoon he was on the floor,  he'd stood up from the chair, forgotten he can't walk and down he went.
Getting a scan now at the hospital...and so it goes on...we're organising Physio several times a week (he had none in hospital) so hopefully he might manage a few steps in time.

Alex

That's really sad ruthio, he's certainly been through the mill.

I didn't realise your hubby's condition was as bad as that, Ruthio.
I am so sorry for you both.  x

My heart goes out to you Ruthio, I went through pretty much the same thing with my mother several years ago.

I'm accompanying OH to the GP this am, then we'll have a walk to the park.  Charity shop for me later.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Morning all.   Some blue sky trying to push through all the grey clouds here.  Snow forecast tomorrow - yes really.

I am going to the hospital this afternoon,  they are going to try the steroid injection into this dodgy shoulder.  Not looking forward to it, for no other reason than I'm chicken.

Meantime,  have done my online banking,  now I've got a couple of phone calls to make,  before I go off out to the post office to send my conked-out dog clippers back to the Wahl for mending.

Good luck with the injection Mups.

Have woken up with a stinker sore throat, so have had to cancel lunch at Worsley Old Hall.

Alex

I'm dog sitting today, two Beagles so wish me luck
