What a miserable, drab old morning again.  These endless grey skies get me down.

Nothing in particular planned,  don't seem to have any energy today.    I need something to cheer me up.

Just read that General Mike Jackson has died aged 80, A true giant amongst the Military community. RIP Sir

A nice sunny day here for a change.  Cheers me up no end.

Been on the phone on and off nearly all day though,  just trying to find a florist that answers their phone!   I wanted to organise some flowers to be sent to my d.i.l. for her birthday soon.

After that was finally sorted, I was holding on and on to speak to someone at my GP's  for some test results.
I am so frustrated because I have been waiting since August for these results!  Nothing has been put onto my records on Patient Access either.

When I did finally get through, they said they can't tell me until tomorrow!    Crazy innit.

. . . .  and then there were the Pensions people . . . .

A pleasant start to the day.  A bit misty,  but the sun is trying to come through.

My son and his wife are coming to see me today,  so best push the hoover around quick.

Also, GP is supposed to be ringing me about some test results.   They wouldn't even tell me whether it would be a.m. or p.m.  so it means hanging around all day just incase he rings.

I'd also like to try and get the last few Iris and Crocus planted in the garden before it's too late.

What an exciting life I lead. . .

The advantage of mobiles. I ditched my landline several years ago.

He actlually did ring on my mobile this afternoon,  so I could have gone out after all.
I had asked them to use my landline as I find it a bit clearer tone,  but he didn't.

Lots of people seem to have ditched their landlines the same as you Klondike, but I don't want to incase I ever lose my mobile.  Daft, I know.

Just a trip to a retail park in Bromborough and a few charity shops in Heswall.   It's been a lovely day here, a nice change from all the rain.

Oh look - raining again. Supposed to be clearing up and the river is still highly coloured so it will be clay shooting again.

We have the calm before the storm, the huge spring tides have arrived and the storm force winds are due in tonight/tomorrow. Got to go out and lie the bins on their side and secure what can't be moved into a barn. Hate this weather, it causes so much damage. :worried:

Went to see a hospital consultant yesterday about this bad arm of mine, as although it has improved somewhat,   it's still painful and movement is restricted.

He was a pleasant chap, so that helps for a start.
He took 3 x-rays and within 10 mins or so, he'd got the results and called me in.

He reckons its something called Tendonitis -  a painful inflammation of the tendons.
He said to take pain killers, and also offered me a steroid injection into the arm.
Not looking forward to that,  but said I'll give it a try,  so waiting for the appointment to come.

Bit of a dull morning here,  but must get off out to the Post office, and Co-op in a mo.   Such excitement ey.

Ohhh Mups, I had that a couple of years ago. My Chiropractor sorted me out along with very strong pain killers. Naproxen 500, they came from the doctor. I still get twinges from it and every 6 weeks my Chiropractor gives it a good going over, along with the rest of me.
