Before the CL Final in Paris on 28th the Liverpool team "took the knee" with the Real Madrid team just looking on.    I have no idea how long this will continue, but I was amused to read a Real Madrid fan's comment - (Google translation btw )   "Yesterday in Saint Denis Liverpool's athletes knelt down begging for forgiveness.
It is seen that they knelt for a short time.
The migrants assaulted, robbed, and mistreated their Liverpool fans"

Jacqueline

When will this silliness end?  After the BLM leaders helped themselves to money to buy mansions I think they have lost all credibility, but still the idiots take the knee :boo:

Raven

Taking the knee is just a silly piece of pantomime. Hey look at me, aren't I clever? :yell: Idiots. :nooo:

Scrumpy

BLM leaders have made millions..
All out to line their own pockets..
That bloke Floyd's family claimed millions ..and I think are still on the make.. Could be wrong but I don't think so.. I remember reading something about it.. They all live pretty well..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

A virtue-signaling idiocy

I know nothing about football but I believe there is a lot of racial abuse from the crowd at times. It seems to me that somehow football picked up on this as a way for the players to express support for their fellow players who get the monkey chants etc. It's a great pity that they chose this discredited symbolism to to so. Time to drop it IMO as it solves nothing.

blacks are well represented on the football field, but not in the desk section!!! they are trying to get a rule made that blacks should get proportional representation at managerial level also....lol.... which clubs might vote for that idea
the liebour party brought in such a rule demanding women only lists for certain constituencies, which ended up With Doncasters three MPs being two women and Ed Milliband non of which has ever [to my knowledge ] even mentioned Doncaster in the house... ok they have recently been given City status, which likely means bigger dole offices...

I'm glad you changed it crabbyob. That old one looked like you were going to a fancy dress party.

Those Australian hats with the corks would be waterproof....

The England team was booed this afternoon in Budapest by 30,000 + kids, for taking the knee    oh dear oh dear...  How embarrassing, it's about time this nonsense was stopped.

crabbyob

it is my opinion....lol.... that all sports shirts should bear an equality sign... is there such a sign,,, erm no, the minorities all demand their own sign/symbol..
get an equality symbol and it should be on the sleeve of every sports shirt, especially the replicas worn by fans...

and Mike when did test cricket bring in the idea of all the players getting not only their name on the cricket shirt but their number too?... bloody garish

Can't remember, but not all that long ago. I HATE it - totally pointless - and meaningless. A Rugby player with, say, 15 in his shirt - you know he is the full back - but a cricketer with 66 or whatever - so what? Means nothing.

lol, being a sports fan i know 66 was when England won the world cup...football
but 66 in cricket is one Joe Root ex and future capt. of your cricket team...

Michael Rolls

you are correct, of course- but what meaning does a number on his shirt convey?
