Don't be silly.. Simplify it for yourselves but it's just not that simple. Apart from a few publicity-seeking idiots there are thousands of real people who suffer something similar and you wouldn't know anything was different unless you became much closer to intimate. It's a mostly very private thing.

It is that simple. A person's gender cannot be changed anymore than their species can be changed.

It's a question of semantics.

If I have the words the right way round (and I find it confusing)

You can't change biological sex.
You can change gender as that is more of a psychological thing.

three years ago when i told my cancer doctor i was off to Goa they gave me HRT injections and gave me one to bring with me... i was never a hairy monster but all the body hair above the waist just vanished, even the hair in my arms, and my head hair has certainly thinned a lot... i actually socialise with two gays over here [but we go our separate ways at the end of the night] honest....
