I got a parking ticket yesterday. £50 !!!!!!!!!! I went to the optician, was a few minutes late so I was rushing.  I bought the ticket, put it on the dash, shut the door and headed to the optician.  When I came back almost half hour later I had the yellow fine on the windscreen. When I looked at the dash the ticket was back to front !  it was so windy, I can only think the ticket flipped over as I shut the car door.

I appealed within the hour    it was worth a shot.   This morning I had an email from the council:

Thank you for your recent contact regarding the above Penalty Charge Notice (PCN).
Although you have enclosed a ticket with your correspondence this was not displayed correctly
at the time the Civil Enforcement Officer issued the PCN. There are instructions for use given
on the pay and display ticket and it is the driver`s responsibility to ensure the ticket is
clearly displayed at all times.
However after careful consideration, on this occasion, the PCN has been cancelled, but any
future notices issued in similar circumstances may be enforced.
Yours Sincerel

Wasn't I lucky, funnily enough I usually do look back to check the ticket, but I was rushing.
It won't happen again
