Why don't the chattering classes acknowledge cultural compatibility ?
All cultures are not equal .
Ours in the west is better otherwise why would so many people want to come here .
Unfortunately when alien cultures ( yes Mr Benn Alien ! ) do come here and get everything handed to them on a plate they resent us for it

The Chinese have a saying .

"Why do you hate me ? I have never done you a favour ? "

The Makerfield election has shown how the fabric of our cultures have changed in our lifetimes .
This is the heart of the North west .
Where the old mill towns and mining communities used to be .
Now what is there .
They have been inundated with people of an alien culture ,stashed there by a government who doesn't want them in their more exclusive towns that are inhabited by the seriously weathly and privileged  people such as members of the Royal Family .
You wont find many ( if any ) HMO - Houses of Multiple occupancy - the slums of the future - around Gloucestershire especially Gatcome Park or Highgrove
You will however find them in Wigan .
The disadvantaged North West is a suitable dumping ground for potentially dangerous people not of our culture .

My road has changed since an HMO opened here.  It was an ordinary semi detached house, like mine.  They are old houses and large, so ideal for conversion.  The man who owns it lives in India and runs a school there, so he's rarely in UK.  We've had so much trouble, firstly with dinghy boys, Africans mainly. Then we had ex offenders, plenty of rows and fights in the road.  Then came the drug dealers.   The police were aware of the dealing and posted on the local Whats App that they needed a 'pattern' i.e. when people were turning up at the house, when the dealers left etc.  I've no idea how they expected residents to do that.   It's definitely changed the road with everyone, including me taking extra security measures.

The house directly opposite me has also been converted, the owner lives in Wales.  We watched as it was converted and extra space put on the back, expensive bathrooms and kitchen went in and fortunately he didn't make any extra bedrooms.  This is now like an Air BNB and we've had no problems with the occupants who appear to be Polish workers who leave every morning suited and booted

I think keeping the illegals in hotels was safer for us, even though it was more expensive.
