saw the start of the Falklands war. Hard to believe that it is so long ago. Had it started today there is no way the UK could have overcome the invasion
Thank you for the days, the days you gave me

It was really sad.
A political move by General Galtieri to try and stay in power ( a military junta) by stoking up nationalistic fervour .
Cost so many lives for nothing .
Most argentines live in the sunny province of Buenos Aires and have had no interest in the Falkland Islands
This is not to diminish  the bravery of our soldiers but the argentines were not really our enemies as people are our enemies today .
Wars are sad all round .

Scrumpy

We have little defence .. Nothing bloody works properly... It's a laugh..

Our 'wars' in the park when we were kids was more effective...
Ferns used as arrows.. spud guns ,water pistols and catapults..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..
