I've seen the Euromillions lottery mentioned a few times. I did the National lottery regularly until it went up to £2 a ticket and stopped apart from very occasional lucky dips. As I used birthday numbers I remember them now - (my DD MM YY and the DD from my three children. My wife had the same DD as me so she was included). I decide to tempt fate and got AI to tell me where to download the results dataset and write a simple analysis script. This is what I missed from outset to just recently with those numbers...

Total matches of 5: 0
Total matches of 6: 0

Mine would be beter if I moved my  a........ and bought some tickets.

But only slightly better and you will almost certainly be better off using your current purchasing policy.

If my numbers had cost £1 each time and threes had paid £10 as they did when I bought them they would have cost £3168 and I'd have had less than £520 back (the 4 win was just over £70) and well over 3,000 disappointments.

Apparently there is more chance being run over on the way back from buying a ticket than there is of the ticket winning the jackpot.

True enough. I wouldn't have though with those numbers.

Try your numbers or just a birthdate  as a wildcard (it's National Lottery only not Euromillions which has lower odds of winning I'm guessing. The National lottery went from  1-49 to 1-59 in 2015
