Don't vape shops have stocks of lithium batteries? You know the same type of chemistry as used by EVs - except of course the ones in cars are a lot bigger, get charged frequently, often very fast and are far more likely to get a nasty knock. Hmmm.. Are we sure they weren't diesel vapes? It seems that the cars that catch fire causing huge damage always are. Or so we get told.

A before and after view of the Victorian building on Union Street, which collapsed last night after a blaze swept through the property.
 
A fire began in a vape shop at 15:45 on Sunday in the B-listed building.
 
The Scottish Fire and Rescue Service (SFRS) worked through the night to bring the blaze under control, with18 vehicles on the scene the height of the fire.
