Ahhhh technology

I try to embrace technology.

Mobile phones for example.
Should I need assistance at any time I can call for it.

Of course that means I need it close by at all times in working order.
So I charge it overnight on a bedside cabinet.

There are some notifications I need to hear so, being a bit deaf. I keep the notification volume high.
I still sometimes miss them.
Technology provides an answer and they are set to repeat if not cleared.

Obviously I don't want disturbing overnight as my bladder is already quite sufficient reminder that I am still alive at least once overnight. Sometimes more if not prudent about when I last drink.
Technology provides Do Not Disturb.
Mine is set for 23:00 to 07:00  (technological terms for 11 at night til 7 in the morning)

Whoever designed the DND and Repeat functions apparently gave them careful consideration and made them failsafe it seems.

Given all this information and that last night was New Year's Eve can anybody guess what happened this morning at 7:00am?

I didn't

He gets his "sheets" from pond liners direct. 😬😬

I'm going to guess that the phone wished him happy new year in duplicate 64 times.

Happy new year :hugs:

I think the ladies got confused about which sex is most prone to the sort of issue they imagined. Clearly Dex is offering first hand advice but I'm pleased to say it isn't needed. Well not yet anyway.

Happy New Year

Ashy got it.

The damned phone started woobly woobling at 7 and kept on repeating every little while til I gave in and looked just in case the Russians had landed or Starmer had been nuked and found it was one happy new year that arrived after I put the phone to bed. At the end of the do not disturb period it notified me and then the repeats kicked in. I forget how many I set it to. Luckily it was 7am and not a disaster but I prefer to wake up rather than be woken up.
