Got something good? Save some cash? Explanations.

If you use some product or service or maybe software that you can recommend to others rather than just mentioning it as a post in the middle of a thread post it here where there will be a lot less threads and it won't vanish so quickly. Put your recommendation here and link to it in the thread where it cropped up.

I mention "Affiliate links"  in the board description. If case you don't know what they are sometimes a service you used will provide you with a link that is personalised to you by using some sort of code. If you recommend that service to somebody and they buy it through that link (sometimes this is quoting a code too or maybe just quoting the code) then the seller will give you some sort of reward and the person you recommended some money off.

Most forums ban these and on big forums it is easy to understand why but here I think things are different. You'll often see this done in YouTube videos where something is recommended and you get a link using a code that gives you a discount - I'm far warier of those because they are there pretty much purely to provide the video publisher with cash.

I've often mentioned things I use in threads and some of those do offer such links so I'll at least have something to kick off with. Duplicating once anybody gets their own affiliate link is fine and people are free to choose anybody's link - what I'm saying  is I haven't added this to make me some cash - I think it is useful and see no reason why not.
