* Klondike,  when you said  -  " The overblanket ones are more expensive but for me they are a gamechanger as they keep the weight of the bedcovers way down."  -   I don't know what you meant?

Surely there can't be any weight hardly in just a summer tog duvet?

* Dex,  thank you for your good wishes,  but the Penicillan isn't making a scrap of difference so far.
Early days though.

*Raven,  so far so good.  Glad you got home alright.  :upvote:

Without the over blanket it would be a heavier duvet. If I get too warm in the night I can turn it off. You can't turn a high tog duvet off you can only throw it off.

The real advantage is that you can control how warm you want to be at the turn of a dial or on the case of the one I have press of a button.

Thanks.  I shall have to have a look at them.
One silly question perhaps,  but if you spilt your cup of tea on it,  would you get an electric shock?

A quick question for anyone who knows about googling stuff.

Above each result I get,  everything has  'Sponsored'  written.
I have only noticed this fairly recently.
What's does that mean?   :hmm:

The wires running inside it are insulated. That applies to all electric blankets. They all have to pass stringent testing before being sold (not individually but the model). Like anything else they can go wrong but if they are handled with respect they should last years.

They are adverts based on your search not results from searching all the data google has on the subject.
