Did anyone else know M&S  had a big cyber attack a few days ago?
It is thought it was by foreign criminals.

They haven't been able to accept any card payments,  or Click & Collect, and deliveries have been affected too.

I can't put a link up because  I have tried 4 different links, but none of them will let me unless I pay first, and I'm not doing that.

I know that the systems were down on Monday, since my daughter works at an M&S and had to deal with the situation.

I was in M & S Cheshire Oaks, I think it was Monday, the queues for tills were really long.  As assistant said we couldn't use the swipe method to pay, but had to enter the card and tap in the numbers.

Bugger. Now Putin knows all my lingerie secrets  :boo:

It said on the lunchtime news that they are still having problems over this attack apparently.
Must have been a biggy?

This was on the news again tonight.

I feel sorry for the staff there, because people are moaning at them,  and its hardly their fault is it.
The staff are saying every day they get emails saying everything will be back to normal within the next 24 hrs,  but it still doesn't happen.

The news said M & S shares prices have dropped 5%  and they have had to cancel all online orders.
Looks like this is going to cost them a few bob.   I wonder who is behind all this,  and why?

We always blame the Russians, but I think they're a bit busy at the moment.

Well, looking a a lot of the clothes in M&S lately, it might have been the fashion police!   I wonder who their target customers are these days.

Serious stuff though, anyone's details could be compromised.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Back in the 70s/80s I used to always head to Mark's when I was clothes shopping, these days I only use their food hall when I'm down in Perth. I also do a stock up shop in Inverness on my way back up North.
