Mups

Quote from: JBR on April 23, 2025, 10:17:20 AMI thought I had explained it clearly, but I now see that Mups finds pictures easier than words!  😉🤣
Sorry JBR.  I didn't mean to upset you.  x

I'm usually the same with learning anything new.  I learn better if I am actually shown how to do it,  rather than just reading about it.

I understand.. and that's saying something..
If you are hanging on by your hands and there is a powerful updraught your feet will be at the top and your head at the bottom..
It must have been really, really scary.. because all the time the plane was travelling at great speed..  It took five mins to free his hands..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Having seen the picture, I'm not now sure that updrafts had quite so much to do with it.  If you went headfirst down a slide and gripped the sides to stop yourself whilst on the downward slope, I think you'd be emulating what he was doing on the door/steps.

So you needed a picture too then

I think Mups main problem was in picturing how his head was below the fuselage.

Ah  but,  although some might think me amazingly dim,   don't forget I probably know about things that others don't.

If the door had completely detached then it'd be a different scenario, which is what I thought had happened.

Ah a comprehension issue then. Flown open is not the same as Fell off.

At our age, there's not much difference

Sorry Mups.  Don't take me seriously - I did include a winking and a laughing emoticon on the grounds that you'd realise that I was winking and laughing and not being serious!

I've often said that everyone is a genius at something, but only rarely do circumstances coincide to enable it to flourish and destiny fulfilled.

I've also often told my pupils/students that IMHO everyone is capable of attaining a grade A (or level 8 as it's now called) at maths.  The only difference is that some might need 20-50 years practice, but the system only provides around a decade of schooling.
