My machine is a singie channel one so only has two pads. As I've only twisted one side I'd just use 2 pads anyway. I started out on strength 7 and just started it on 10. I've not noticed it stopped several times.

Going out for another walk so I'll take it off now.

10??

Blimey,  I don't think I could take that.
I usually start on about 3 or 4,  then gradually move on to around 6.   That's usually enough for me.
I did try a 7 once,  but it was a bit too strong for my skin.

Different machines. I'm not sure how high mine goes - over 10 for sure. At level 4 I don't even feel it. Of course it may be that I'm thick skinned or no sense no feeling applies.

It hasn't fixed it but I've not had those nasty sharp twinges you get since using it. Got some jobs on tomorrow so I'm expecting to need it again tomorrow evening

I have a small Tens Machine with two wires, I got it when I kept putting my shoulder out but it's still in it's box as I can't get the cover off the battery compartment to get it going. I stuck it down the side of the couch and forgot about it till last night. :busted:

Does anyone remember those shock chairs that were/are in arcades?  You sit in them and have to hold some handles which emits an electric shock until you can bear it no more?  A bit like the joysticks used in the Bond film Never Say Never Again.

You made me think about power levels, so I just looked in my instruction book.

On mine there are 3 different 'modes.'   There is TENS, EMS  (whatever that is), and RELAX.  You can choose whichever you want,  but I have only used the TENS mode.

Then it says . . "Each channel has a total of 40 levels of intensity.  For first use, the intensity should be set between 1-3.  If you feel that is too weak, after  1-2 minutes you can gradually increase it and choose the most comfortable."

Blimey,  does that mean it can go up to 40?  Surely not.  That would blow your head off!

My back is still ok after my tens session the other day despite some work on my son's boat on Saturday and the gym today. My right forearm is still a bit twingy although I've no idea what I did to it so the tens is out again and I'm wired up. This is a left hand only post as the tens is causing my right arm to jiggle about uncontrollably. It is very odd.

An hour of this and my forearm will rival Popeye's

Is that a subliminal subliminal reference about the Pope?

Be careful Klondike,     mine says not to use these for more than half an hour at a time.

P.S.   I think I forgot to tell you,  I asked if I can use my machine with my hearing aid in,  but they said to remove it first.

Good idea. Then you won't hear yourself screaming.
