Like Ashy I'd prefer permanent double summertime. There is no need for me to be tied in any way to the clock but a lifetime of habit from when like most I was sort of sticks.

I have no problem with the car clock it couldn't be simpler, it's the cooker clock that's my bug bear, so much so I'm thinking of just leaving it alone, don't use it anyway.

The danger with touching cooker clocks (for which there is a degree course) is that you do some mysterious thing that stops the cooker coming on at all. Best left alone entirely.

Ours is really simple.  I'm happy because I remembered how to change the clock in the car WITHOUT using the handbook!
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

Yes, I wondered about that a few years ago when it turned out that the knob that you have to press so that the oven does turn on, was broken. Now I have to poke the hole in the panel with a stick.

Aha.  You did this while feeling under the weather.  Looks like the trick is to become ill a few days before the next clock changing day.

Well, I have succumbed.  I changed both of the two 'manual' clocks last night.
Now I'm looking forward to the next changing in six months.  Can't wait!

If I were a millionaire, I'd have two adjacent identical houses with identical furniture and identical cars in identical garages.

One house would have all the clocks set for BST and the other for standard time.

Thus all I'd have to do is switch houses twice a year.

With my memory, I wouldn't know whether I was coming or going.

Whose memory?

On which subject, whatever happened to Minnie?  Her husband (Arctophile) managed to escape by doing the logical thing of pegging out.  Surely she can't still be alive!

My memory.
Just to confirm my problem: who's Minnie?

Vicious person on an old, defunct site.  Loved her steiff teddies?  Probably misspelled that.

I can't bring that to mind, sadly, but as I said my memory is not what it once was.
