I like to work it over in my own mind putting together bits I've read heard or worked out. Might all be total BS of course

Alex

Am I right in thinking this RSV vaccine is fairly new  ?

GrannyMac

Yes, this winter was the first time it's been offered I believe.

After seeing what polio, measles and other illnesses can do, I'm pro rather than anti vaccines.

I'm pro so long as they have been through proper testing. It's a little off putting that this one is being watched carefully but respiratory diseases do kill off the elderly for sure. My BIL and grandfather both died of pneumonia. It was what took covid victims too.

So when are you having it done?

I got that email invite too,  (or was it text,  I can't remember),  but I'm so scared of having it after my disaster with the Covid one.

March 7th.

Read up on it. Ask around. Make your own decision. Nothing is compulsory. You just need to make a best guess judgement on whether you think the benefits exceed the risk. I decided for me they did. You may decide that in your judgement they don't. There is no absolute right or wrong and you should take whichever course you feel most happy with.

If a person doesn't like needles then they can refuse them..

Valdo Calocane being a prime example of this...
