Our Ange is to set up a 16-person Islamophobia council to help draw up new rules on anti-Muslim discrimination.

The Government is calling for a new official definition of Islamophobia in line with the Labour Party's adopted understanding of the prejudice as "a type of racism that targets expressions of Muslimness or perceived Muslimness".   Led by Dominic Grieve, remember him ? ex Tory Remainer, a couple of imams thrown in, no idea who else they'll resurrect for this.

Ange has to protect her supporters, or rather 'Labour supporters' muslims don't have a lot of time for women particularly women in positions of power.

So here we go then, next step prison for speaking out against rape gangs !

Can we have a definition for cultural destruction while we're at it, to include a mention of expansion of one culture thinking it has more rights than the indigenous population?

When Rayner is an old lady she will be wearing the Hijab
as will all women in the UK.

She has poor intellect levels, but is very gobby. They hope the latter will dismiss the likes of Isabel Oakeshott et al who have the reverse in qualities!

The difference being is that Isabel Oakeshott has had an incredibly privileged upbringing and consorts with the rich famous and influential .

Angela Rayner has not .

I am not a fan of Angela Rayner  nor her pandering to her Islamic constituents nor her ridiculous and dangerous  Islamic council  but as an undereducated girl from the lowest strata of society she has done pretty well .

She has done well from humble beginnings, she was obviously savvy enough to recognise that trade unions like gobby people, but that doesn't necessarily mean they are particularly intelligent.  The Peter principle might be applicable now.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

I don't dispute that Mrs Rayner has done well for herself, most of our paid politicians have; The question is what's she ever for for anyone else.

One optimistic note is that a committee of 16 will have 16 or more solutions to any given problem, which means they won't find one to agree on. And lastly, a body of this sort will try to keep the money coming in and will therefore not report any time soon.

I just hope they can tell the difference between awareness of a real threat and an irrational fear. In my opinion they have tried for too long to write off everyone's correct analysis of a genuine threat, as a phobia. However, I doubt if the committee of 16 will have any voices of normal people.

Nothing really new here.
Just Labour supporting their future voters again.

To be a deputy prime minister of a G6 economy I think you need a better mind than Rayner possesses.

The level of priviledge gained by educational experience is a factor of circumstantial reality. That said Kwarsi Kwarteng came from a council house home. He won a bursury to Eton and then gained a double first at Cambridge. Ms Rayner is a forceful socialist idealist, whose educational level doesn't compare by his achievements. I actually quite like her and feel she would be very interesting to meet and have a few drinks with!

I had many pupil barristers as 'novices' under me at the bar. The best was from Tower Hamlets, his father (a very amusing man) drove a refuse collection truck and they resided in a modest council rented home. His son had a really fine mind and could not only keep up with his contempories from Oxbridge but was exemplary in his confident cross examination, delivered in his distictive accent. He has gone far but always had an inborn brilliance, I don't see Angela Rayner in the same way. Correspondingly she is a lady who has done the very best with what she had available to her and I admire and respect her for that.

Consider Maragret Thatcher and the illustrious Barbara Castle for instance. The former needs no introduction, but the latter was a self made, highly intelligent woman who was well before her time and in my humble opinion had that extra certain something to place her at the very top of the best.

Off topic, but perhaps an enjoyable interlude ..

Perhaps they should swap jobs. I doubt that Ange would do a worse job as Chancellor and Rach is po faced enough to make the announcement that we are going cap in hand to the IMF again.

Intellect she might lack but she was on the ball when it came to purchasing property at a knock down price... She knows how to feather her bed..

Carying on the rich mantle of two-tier judgements of top level socialists in power, a tradition of proud heritage to substantiate and improve upon.

Not a lot of 'noddy' needed though, when rich associates also grant cheap mortgages, remember the soon to be 'British Ambassador to the USA' ~ Peter (Lord Mandelson) 27 years ago?
