My tin of celebrations... Turkish delight and Baklava plus Chocolate Mints.. are among many things that are unopened..  I just didn't fancy anything..
I do have a family gathering here on Sunday.. perhaps they will be taken home by others..

It was a strange old Christmas.. Very quiet..
Others have spoken of this also..
What do others think..?  Have you taken your tree down yet.?
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

My tree will come down on Sunday, cards are already down.  Because I came to "Nana-hood" late in life, my Christmas was lovely, lively and I'm blessed !

I've eaten all sorts of ***** as usual and since Christmas Eve I've put on 5 lbs - I kid you not.  [2080]

Cleared away most of Christmas last night.  Just the tree to go, but there's no rush for that as we have it outside and it's quite nice to have it lit up.

We didn't even put a tree up this year.  We did decorate our fireplace.  We are about to move house so we didn't bother this year.
I haven't felt like celebrating this year with my Dad passing in November.
Yes, it was very quiet indeed.
My niece bought me a humongous box of Lindor Chocs and I daren't open them because I knew once I started I wouldn't be able to stop eating them, there is about 60 chocolates in the box
I weakened and opened them on New Years Eve, needless to say there are barely any left, yet another stone to get off now

I said I didn't want to decorate, didn't send cards, what with lordruthio's move to a Nursing Home, my daughter said "rubbish" and got the decs out and put them Absolutely Everywhere!!
Tree and all  ~ the house looks gorgeous.
It will take me weeks to put it all away!!

Leave them up - save the hassle of having your daughter put them up next year. Might even shame her into taking them down if you say you are too crumbly to be on chairs and the like getting them down.

I have put my three cards away now. I didn't need any help.

I shall take my tree down on Monday .. I would take it down sooner but I have the family coming here on Sunday..  Looking forward to that..

I have three days more before I am required to perform the tree(s) undecorating and removing procedure.
One of them is destined to return to the garden (Marge is a gardener) where it lives for most of the year in a tub which, of course, is occupies in the house at present.  It has grown substantially since last year and we expect that by next year it may be too big to come in again (hopefully).

Since I've been alone 1998, I've never bothered with decorations at Xmas - too much hard work. I've also since that time, just read cards and binned them straightaway with the envelope. This year I had a lady staying here with me who insisted on a tree - the whole nine yards etc!

The proper recipient of that hideous hoodie that got delivered to me gave me one of those tubs. Too much temptation so I gave it to my daughter who was instrumental in finding the owner through Facebook.
