For the record, I was punished (over there) for saying the wrong thing, in fact for hinting at the existence of this forum (Vlad came here shortly afterward). Consequently, all of my posts were temporarily disabled for long enough to prevent any immediate responses and so practically took no part in the discussions. I decided to leave because I saw that forum as contrary to free discussion and seriously concerned about people leaving and coming here!

Indeed you did irritate him, ironically it was a disagreement about Tommy R. I think the subsequent stuff written after he'd taken a bit of a break irritated him more. Lost the sense of fun on here for him. Sad, but fair enough I guess.

I think he didn't like the term flounce IIRC, and took exception to klondy's wording about it. It's still there somewhere in the members only section. I'll try to dig out a link

I liked Vlad.. He bought a bit of fun to the forum.. We can't do anything if a member wants to leave.. I thought it could have been handled better by him.. I would have stood my ground..
Why is usually the men who do a flounce.. !!
The one person who , in my opinion, could bring a forum crumbling down is Harbal..
Members will leave because of him and he could change the mind of potential new members..
I am surprised Chris hasn't acted regarding him.. Vlad likes him because they have a laugh together..

Yes, I like Vlad and was very happy when he took the trouble to come here. I saw him as an asset to the forum and would much prefer that he had stuck it out (if you'll pardon the expression).

I'm also glad that I never really participated in 'The Jockey's Nostril' having now read what happened. Nothing personal, of course. I just didn't find it particularly interesting and was spending more of my time elsewhere.

I don't know whether Vlad still visits, but if he does come across this, please think about coming back Vlad.

Harbel has taken over 3 threads now with his arguing, it's annoying and boring. He was just the same on OFF. I wish I'd never heard of the man he's the most annoying scunner I've come across on a forum.

I don't visit that site any more for reasons I have explained before. Nevertheless, I have just had a sneaky look hoping to see why there are such opinions about Harbal. Strangely, despite my having left, I still seem able to access the site.
I only looked at 'supercilious interviewers' as that sounded appropriate(!) and didn't look any further, but his words didn't seem to be particularly outlandish. Perhaps I should look further?
On the other hand, I think I'll continue to avoid the place!
