Yes, this is something which really annoyed me.
Not only do they enter this country illegally, they also fail to identify themselves by disposing of passports and phones (to be handed a replacement upon arrival).
They present a potential danger to us.
They are handed free accommodation, often in expensive hotels, at our expense.
They are not checked in any way, and will not tell us who they are or where from, and could be dangerous.

I could go on, but why do we do this when our 'friends' in France give them nothing other than a tent if they're lucky?
