Bloody mad...

Went out with my mate the other day.. she drove..

She's bloody mad behind the wheel.. Seems to think all other drivers are out to get her..
She kept on about a driver behind her who was ' Up her bum'..
I told her to shut up and stay calm.. I said the driver travelling behind will overtake and then travel at their own speed..
 Did she ! Hell no... She applied her brakes so hard I was jutted forward.. Bloody stupid..

I know it's a pain having someone on your tail.. In a hurry.. When you are doing the speed limit..
But that is life.. They will pass when they can.. Plonkers.. Why would you hit your brake ..!!!
That could have been a nasty accident for all concerned..

I get that everytime I drive the A9 between here and Perth, I travel between 50 n 60mph but it's not fast enough for some.
I usually end up pulling into one of the laybys and let the speed junkies past. I don't have my big 4x4 anymore am back in a small car, so people think they can bully me. Didn't happen with the big car.

I too, hate that when you get some idiot practically in the boot,  even more so when they have bright headlights on.
If I am doing the correct speed for that stretch of road, I absolutely refuse to go faster for him.  Why should I get a speeding ticket just because he is in a hurry,  that's his problem.

 I say 'He' because I have never, ever had a woman driver shunting me along.  It seems to be a male problem.

I too have pulled over to let another driver pass.. Best to be on the safe side.. Nothing worse than an idiot in charge of a death machine up your bum..
I hate to say this but I usually find they are young men..  
Older drivers and female drivers are not usually playing this game..

In such circumstances, I would probably slow down very gently.  If they make a mistake and rear-end me, I have forward- and rear-facing cameras, so will have the idiot's number plate and all the evidence to report it and claim on my (and his) insurance.  The other advantage of slowing down gradually is that there will be less damage to my car that if I had slammed on my brakes.
Much better, of course, is to encourage him to overtake and go away and kill himself!  😠
