Now then.  At some point we will either run out of enough fossil fuel to do what we want.  We will also run out of land to grow "biochemical" fuel.  We also will not want to keep setting fire to things since they do tend to create noxious gases as a byproduct.

Ergo, the question is .... what is the answer?

The answer will be a mix of renewables and nuclear. Either that or our civilisation will collapse and it will be back to  burning sticks.

But his Taycan won't see 15 years.

Yes, this, but also we should realise that we can still burn coal and other combustibles as well simply because we now have means of doing so efficiently and with minimal production of pollutants.
However, I believe that nuclear is the real step forward.

Not sure, though, how this relates to an EV driving test!

The DVLA have a published list of cars that cannot be used for a driving test.

I agree with a Tesla being banned as the driver can choose to be a passenger.

Absolutely right!  He'll probably change it next year.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

The lease companies will have taken an absolute beasting with the depreciation rates being seen by EVs. They will be wiser now and those leases are going to be one hell of a lot more than they were at the start of this.
