That is a chocolate Birman, my late wife bred them, I ended up as a mid-wife to over 50 kits!

The ones below were a beautiful 'mix' from a Tabby point mum and Chocolate point father. They loved getting in the sauna after it had cooled down a bit, which is where this pic was shot from. Delightful creatures all of them, after we lost two (one to feline cancer and the other to the road)  we couldn't persist breeding again and just kept the one here on the extreme left - who only ate fresh prawns, knowing her 'dad' was stupid enough to get them for her, she lived to be 18!

Absolutely beautiful & helping the Mum when they're born is an amazing experience.

Actually Phil a frenetic mother first time around. My wife could do anything with her, but when I appeared during the birthing, the first time I was compelled to approach her with a 'fire- guard' and hold her with heavy old 'wicket keeper gloves' otherwise she would have cut me to pieces. But strangely she'd let our dog in on everything (Doberman). He used to steal the babies, by very gently cupping them in his huge jaws and carrying them off into his basket. Sometimes only one of four was in with her! Therefter she had many litters and was a wonderful mother and accepted my help without protest.
