We bought a new Hoover washing machine recently from Currys and the salesman tried very hard to sell an extended guarantee and also a different broadband.  I was very firm that we were not interested and he reluctantly gave up.  Then Hoover started............

I got a phone call about getting insurance on the old machine a couple of days after the new one had been delivered.  They never give up.  I don't like being rude to people but make the odd exception.

Salesmen usually shut up when I give them the 'look' ...  and I have the ability to look straight through people.. However I am quite a placid person.. Can't be doing with bossy..

Not sure why but I just say no thanks and they shut up. Perhaps I look skint?
