I remember this trial well. How he ever originally just got convicted of manslaughter eludes me. Anyway 13 years for shooting his girlfriend through the bathroom door which she had locked where imo, although never properly established, she was hiding from him.

There was all manner of technical arguments about whether or not he was wearing his blades but to my mind the simplest question which was never, to my knowledge, asked was why the door was locked? Perhaps I'm just odd but I don't recall ever locking a bathroom door for a middle of the night comfort break when the only other person present in the property was my wife.

So about 7 years locked up. Not much for taking a young woman's life.

So he was charged with murder, then changed to manslaughter, then changed back again to murder  ?  What a cork up, his high profile no doubt helped.  He's not allowed to speak to the media so at least he won't make millions from his story - unless he writes a book of course !

I wonder if he's got the spring back in his step now that he's out of jail?

He should never have been let out, in my opinion.  In fact, he should have had his legs chopped off.

Oh, hang on a minute...
