22/11/63 JFK was assassinated in Dallas. Can still remember hearing the news as though it was yesterday

Less than two weeks later my father died.  Can't believe we're  60 years on.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

I know about it of course, but don't remember much about it, things in the News didn't bother me back then especially in another country, but I do remember the adults talking about it.

There are a few documentaries doing the rounds about his assassination..
I don't think the truth will ever be known.. Mafia related I think..

I saw the documentary  Sinatra, Kennedy and the Mafia..
The mafia thought they would be protected by J F Kennedy.. However.. When Bobby Kennedy came to office he wanted to wipe out the mafia..

Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

I remember the day too, but not as clearly as I used to.   I was in the cinema when a notice came up on the screen to say he'd been shot

I was only just a teen with zero interest in world affairs. I mostly remember the pantomime that followed with Lee Harvey Oswald being shot by Jack Ruby. I'm not sure if it all stunk to me at the time but in hindsight the huge number of conspiracy theories don't surprise me at all.

So can I, it was a Friday & in the evening I was talking to a mate's girlfriend about it.

I can also remember exactly where we were.

For the Germans it was a shock, we never have thought that such a thing could happen in the USA.
His speech in Berlin was balm for our soul.
There was a documentary on his life on German TV last week and in our today's paper they write that recent researches show that he couldn't have been killed by only one person. The projectile got stuck in the back seat.

As a target rifle shooter at the time, I have always been unhappy about the conclusions of the Warren commission

Three shots in 6 seconds 2 hitting a moving target using a bolt action rifle? Dream on.

I've just watched a documentary on Prime that made a very good fist of claiming there was no assassination but that it was all staged using theatrical effects.
