NHS Scotland reports that the last ten years have seen a seven-fold increase in the number of adults receiving medication for attention deficit hyperactivity disorder. Like, I expect, most folk I had only ever associated it with problem children – apparently not – but why such a huge increase in so short a time.

not yet! Actually, having had my neighbour round to dinner, so a much bigger meal than usual last night, today will be abstemious (relatively speaking)
