Optical illusion

If you concentrate  on any specific yellow dot or even all 3 yellow dots all of them will always be there. 

If you concentrate on the flashing green dot while still being aware of the overall image then occasionally one or more of the yellow dots will just vanish and reappear.

It works with just one eye or both. Nothing to do with the blind spot either it's a genuine trick of the mind.

Fascinating!  How on earth does that work?
I'm sure there will be some expert somewhere able to explain it.
(Actually, although the yellow dots do disappear, if you keep staring at the green dot, they come back again... then disappear again... etc... etc.)
