I had a dental check-up today.. Everything was going fine util my dentist said those dreaded words.. 'Hygienist' !! .. 
They dig , poke, scrape..  tug.. All this whilst their knee is firmly pressing on your chest..  
Well, that is what it feels like to me.. 

 In the waiting room I was listening  ( like you do) to a patient who was at reception paying for her treatment.. She had two xrays and a check up.. over 70 pounds.. not even any treatment yet.. and she booked the Hygienist.

It's hard to find a dentist nowadays. 
My lad is at the same practice as me...... he rang to make an appointment and was told because he hadn't been for two years, he was no longer on their list.  He asked to be put back on and they said they weren't taking on any NHS patients, but he could have an appointment that week if he joined Denplan.

It is difficult around here too.. There seem to be few NH dentists..
My friend has a cracked tooth and can't afford to visit the dentist at this moment..
I see more people with poor dental care then ever before..
