This time  from Argos. Thankfully it is being corrected and I am sure you will all be pleased to hear that they will no longer be identifying products with the outdated term "two man delivery"

Thank you for the days, the days you gave me

We all know what is meant by two man delivery, why on earth does it offend some people so long as they get their delivery? I have never had a heavy appliance delivered by a woman, maybe they do these days, but why make such a fuss.

I noticed in the complaints to Argos, some clown had to put the word non binary into the mix didn't they? unless you were born without any genitalia at all and look like a china doll in the nether regions, someone please explain what the hell non binary is? in my opinion it's just someone who want's to be different and doesn't want to conform, so why should I pander to them?

And if I hear another word about preferred pronouns I will scream!!!!! Someone has decided to make my old age as difficult as possible, I can't cope with all this crap.

Julia Hartley-Brewer was quite scathing about it on TalkTV.  I do like her but wish she would slow down a bit.  I think her brain is fast and her mouth can't keep up!

Unlike politicians then. Their mouths are fast and their brains can't keep up.

I did look up non binary the other day but didn't really follow what it said. It seemed to be saying somebody who wasn't really sure what they were or what they fancied sexually  and felt a bit guilty about it. Have a search - you may find something you can understand.

I'm not surprised, what about man hours and mankind ?  :waiting:
I like Julia HB, but half the time I miss what she's said, slow down woman !  erm am I allowed to call her woman ?

Disgusting!
Shouldn't that be 'person hours' and 'personkind'?
I have already adopted the term 'policeperson' so as not to offend anyone.

Not much chance of offending any around here...

Ooh, I don't know.  Are you sure we don't have any of those 'non binary' things on here?

I was referring to the invisibility of police near my home. They are almost as good at it as GPs. Us muggles simply can't see them these days.

Yes, of course GPs are more difficult to see than policepeople.
The overriding factor in their being so difficult to see is that they don't wear uniforms.
To all intents and purposes we could be completely surrounded by GPs in our local supermarket, yet there is no way of knowing...
er, well, apart from quickly writhing and falling to the ground and hoping.

Can't watch her for more than 2 minutes! I can't stand the way she wears her glasses on the end of her nose then looks at the camera over the top of them. In fact, I think the whole channel is pretty amateurish, as is GB News.

Fortunately I have the ability to watch a news channel based on the content & not on the irrelevant flimflam of how the presenters look.

Oh dear Countryman, I am sitting here with my reading glasses on the end of my nose so that I can look up to talk to my OH or the cat!

At least her guests are usually laughing and she does not attack them, Naga Munchetty style.
