I hope what this shows is that obvious BS needs calling out early not carefully ignored in case offence is given.

Imagine what sort of a mess we'd be in if we had, say, a Chancellor of the Exchequer who had used BS and lies on their CV to get the job and was completely of of their depth in the job.
