 ... 'she's dead'..

In the Co-op this morning..
I mentioned how bad my sciatica had been..
Dawn.. the shop assistant told the story of her friend who had sciatica..
Apparently the doctor got it wrong.. She had bone cancer..

Don't you just love people who talk without engaging their brain !!!..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Alex

Did you tell her she'd made your day Scrumps  ?

Scrumpy

I thanked her for her input...
I started to giggle..
She realised what she had said and replied
' No.. you are ok...you are good for an old'un..
   'You can walk'...  😁😁😁😁

Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

What amazes me is the number probably 30 or even 40 years my junior I see when out and about who are so overweight they have problems walking.

A thing I've often wondered about too is what came first the mobility scooter or the enormous backside hanging over the seat.

You're not joking! When i was going to a group about avoiding type 2 diabetes, the biggest person was the youngest.  She was about 20 stone.  I saw her recently, she said she'd been to the gym, and she'd lost weight, but it was not obvious. Her walking is impaired, she needs a stick. She might just be 40.

I took the lessons really seriously, lost weight and I've kept it off. Not easy with my sweet tooth!  Off to the pool in a mo.

School days - in my year of 120 or so boys there was just one (this was 1950-54 ) there was just one boy who was well overweight. Met his parents - mum was about 5' 3' and 7-8 stone - dad was 6' 6" and a beanstalk. Must have been regressive genes
Thank you for the days, the days you gave me

There was only one little girl who was very overweight at my school .
My Mum said it was something wrong .
All  the rest of the children were vaguely skinny .
I was a very skinny child .
I don't know when it began to change
In my forties I think .
Before that it doesn't matter what I ate I was always slim .

Alex

I don't know if any of the girls experienced this, but I was always really slim, until I was pregnant !  Of course you put weight on, but I put on a lot.  I lost a lot afterwards, but since then it's always been a fight with my weight.  Hormones go to pot I know, but mine never came back
