If the imbecile had accepted that he'd done bad and wrong things (but not illegal under UK law), possibly related to his abnormal upbringing-but without apportioning blame-and accepted and agreed to step back and abdicate entitlements and privileges, then there is little doubt in my mind that he could have not only partially undone the damage but actually have had a positive role within his historic heritage.  We'd have kinda believed the "I'm a victim too" narrative.

Sadly, the numbnut thought that lying and obfuscation was the best option.

I've said it before and I'll say it again ...complete failure of imagination.

( but not illegal under UK law)....

And therein lies the problem...  'Play games'
I should imagine the 'Games' were far more (serious) than chasing a 17 yr old around a room..
He could have done that (Legally) at Royal Lodge.. There are enough rooms for him to have fun with many young people..
He chose to be entertained by a known paedophile.. A little bit different me thinks..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Well he's not the sharpest knife in the drawer .
Where would he get a willing 17 year old on tap in Windsor ?
Royal lodge doesn't sound very inviting and then there are the teddy bears to consider.
So a young fun girl plus a freebie holiday with all the luxuries in the tropics is definitely a winner

(but not illegal under UK law) has no value whatsoever.

The offence was committed in the jurisdiction of Florida. There are offences in the UK that are not offences in the US & vice-versa.

It would also be very difficult for the best lawyer in the world to persuade a jury that Andrew had a poor upbringing where he hadn't been taught right from wrong.

To me he's just an entitled waste-of-space who I'd like to see in an orange US jump suit.

I agree... People seem to forget the 'Games' were played in a US State where 17 is underage..

Imagine if it had taken place in (iirc) Abu Dhabi.  Remember the recent case of the lad who had a holiday romance with someone over there and may well be doing time for it now?

The age of consent differs in different states.
In some its 16 in others 19 or even 21.
