Sadly not an election but a named storm.

It's apparently Amy this time. I thought they were alphabetic but on checking the previous one it was Floris. I think Raven had some ropey weather but don't recall I had anything of note - maybe a rainy day but I'm not even sure of that.

Are they trying to justify themselves or something?

They are named alphabetically Klondie,  you're right.    But this is the first storm of the winter,  so they start at 
'A'  all over again.

I suppose they have to start the sequence somewhere. Couldn't have been many in the last cycle then.
