I fear you are too old or maybe too innocent to recognise the sign language in use there....

Raven,  Yes, I probably should ignore that screen with all its pictures and signs changing.  It makes no sense to me anyway.

Dex,  I did phone the car people as I said yesterday.  I said I wasn't happy with the size nor all the complicated signs and controls, but she said they hadn't got another car spare at the time.
Today I also rang the firm who are are doing the repairs and asked if they have any idea yet when it might be ready,  and she checked, then said they are aiming for next Tuesday.

I told her I didn't understand the car,  but she just said most modern cars are like that now,  which is probably true.

Scrumps,  I agree with you about not taking it out on the roads unless I feel 100%  about it - and I don't.
I don't have a good feeling when I sit in it,  and I believe sometimes we should listen to our feelings and not ignore them.

I found the handbook today, and its even worse than I thought.
There are heated front seats,  and even a Back Massager built in would you believe!
There is something called 'Adaptive Cruise control',  along with 'Forward Pedestrian Protection,'  and 'Advanced Parking Assistant,'   'Panoramic View System,'  a 'Lane Keep Assistant,'   . . . . oh it goes on and on and on.

I have lived all these years without all these boys toys in a car,  and don't want them now either!

Looking on the bright side though,  the bulk of my shopping will arrive tomorrow from Ocado.
A neighbour went and got me some Milk from the Co-op this morning,  then came back this afternoon to take me to the Post Office so I could draw some cash out.

Thirdly,  another neighbour further down the road,  another dog lover,  said he will take me and Gertie to the Vets on Friday,  then take me back later when I can bring her home again.

Adaptive cruise control is a good feature to have. It basically just keeps you at a safe distance from the car in front.

Bit of a pain when you find yourself in Brighton on their driveway because you nodded off but you can't have everything.

In my day, that's what eyes were for -  and how we passed our driving test!

My dogs are Poodley type hair, so don't moult anyway, so there wouldn't be any hairs to give us away.  I just wondered if there are cameras in the car though?

Either way,  its ok now as my friend down the road is taking me tomorrow.  I've got to leave Gertie there for the morning and collect her probably lunchtime-ish.   She is so scared without me, and I hate coming home with an empty car.
I just hope and pray my little gal is OK,  I can't deal with much more on my plate at the mo.
