Time flies.  I remember exactly where I was and what I was doing when it was announced on the radio...playing whist in the upstairs flat of my second cousin's house in Penmaenmawr.

I too remember where I was when Elvis died.  I was working in the Army Pay Office, HQ BAOR
That was a great job, all soldiers and just two of us ' girls'  The other girl, became my friend and we still are in touch weekly.   She came in to work sobbing with red eyes, tissues in hand, all because Elvis had died. :cool:

So hard to believe it was 48 years ago !!!!!!
