There is also a foam spray you can buy.
My neighbour used it a couple of years back, and it seemed to work.

Thank you Mups..

Fortunately it is not my main shed.. It is where I store my paint and outside chairs..
It is not as tall as a regular shed..
I watched this morning and they fly under the shed .. It is raised off the ground...
I reckon they have a nest inside the shed...
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

I'd start off by putting something citrus smelling in there as they don't like that and may leave of their own accord.

klondike

I'd use what you've already bought - I reckon it will be more than enough to get the job done.

I haven't done it yet.. I've got all the stuff but too scared...
Just incase they attack me..
Might wait for them to die off and then destroy any nest...

Your neighbours won't thank you for that.

Scrumps,  they could attack you anyway if they felt like it,  even just for hanging your washing out.

I don't blame you for being scared though,  I would probably feel the same.

I think the best (and safest) idea is just to ring a local pest control firm and get a price off them.
They've got all the equipment to do the job safely.

I have just been outside..Long socks to protect my legs..
Hoodie... garden gloves....
I put loads of wasp killer powder along the gap at the bottom of the shed.. I have watched them fly under the shed at different places.. So, I powdered the whole area..
I will do it again tomorrow..
The neighbours didn't see me.. I am not overlooked by any in most areas of my garden..
I did feel bloody stupid.. The temp is still high here..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Well done Scrumps.

But if the police come round later,  you will know someone's doorbell filmed the hoodie intruder.

Hope you get it sorted Scrumps.  Lots of bloody flies in my garden today, I'm beginning to think it might be the garlic spray I've used on the Hostas

Funny you should say that about the flies, Alex.

There are loads here as well,  darn things.
I haven't used the garlic spray though,  maybe its just the exceptionally warm weather that makes them breed more. Dunno.

I checked this morning.. The wasps don't look very happy.. I saw some flying in and out.. but some did not look healthy..
I think it takes a while to work...

They just gave out on the lunchtime news about the increased numbers of Wasps nests this year.
They suspect it is caused by the heat,  apparently Wasps love it, and thrive.

There was a bit showing a keeper of some nature reserve by the looks of it, and he was going round sticking warning notices up about all the Wasps nests in the Reserve.

Any noticeable change around the shed yet, Scrumpy?

Last year we had a wasp nest in the attic above our kitchen.  They emerged above the path from our kitchen to the garden and so had an exterminator chap come and kill them.  Actually, he had to come back because some still survived.
On reflection, I wish we hadn't asked him to do that because although they were prevalent in the area we often walked through, we were never attacked.  They seemed to keep themselves to themselves.  Had we left them there, they would probably not have returned this year as I heard that once the next is vacated, they go somewhere else.  Anyway, they have not returned this year... yet.

Still down south we an exterminator to cop. Asked him how many in a nest. Typically 5000, in a big one 50000!
Thank you for the days, the days you gave me
