The acceleration on electric cars is amazing though they just zoom away .

At one time, I should have thought them very attractive for that reason.
Fortunately, I have grown older and wiser, and stick religiously (as an atheist) to the speed limits.

Just as well Mr M doesn't like them he has an itchy enough foot on the gaz pedal as it is .

There is no money for potholes and the road surface generally but they can find it for this, and blocking roads, and one way systems, and councillors' emoluments.

Hear hear, Ashy.   :upvote:

That was his reason as a business owner.
Its not how old you are, but how you are old. 💖

The only discount that would make them financially viable would be closer to 100%. After the initial 3 or 4 year lease runs out nobody wants them. Buying one new means looking at a huge depreciation rate. Buying one secondhand means getting old technology that depreciates even faster because of the fear of battery failure which costs a sizeable portion of the price of an entire new car. Any accident even minor can write one off as repair costs are high. That means expensive insurance too.

If the aim is to stop most of the population being car owners then they are going the right way about it.

well, they do seem to have that on the agenda

The 15 minute city thing is what I think we may be pondering. Wonder how well that will play out in your neck of the woods. It wouldn't even work where I am in a small county town.
