Oh! dear.. certainly not Chester..
I thought it was Cheshire .. I used to visit there when I met up with Michael who lived in Stockport..
I know we went to Cheshire Oaks a big shopping centre..
Then we went into town .. Beautiful place some lovely old white buildings with black wood markings...
I am sure they had a sort of ( boardwalk).. I think..
So clear in my head.. We had a meal near some water..

That's Chester Scrumpy, the boardwalk you mention is two tier shops, called The Rows.  The water was the River Dee, it's a lovely city for a day out, plenty to see.

It's going to be even worse at the weekend so they say.
Some areas are going to implement hose pipe pans too,  I heard.

I have just packed my Ocado order away before the Ice Cream melted, and am trying to muster some enthusiasm for pushing the hoover around . . . sometime .

Too hot here too, I've just come back from the docs but luckily I didn't have to wait.  I'm sitting in the kitchen with blinds down, it's cooler in here than in the garden !

Oh dear. 
This summer must be very difficult for the farmers,  garden centres and growers, plus people with livestock too, no doubt.
I wish those posh idiots wouldn't hammer the last breath out of those poor horses at Newmarket, too. Disgusting.
And all to make rich people richer.

They are forecasting even hotter Frid, Sat & Sunday,  so no doubt more areas will implement a ban soon, too.

Morning all. 
Terrible hot trying to sleep last night.  It's getting me down.

Had a bit of a panic yesterday tea time. 
One of my dogs, Liffey,  has to have medication twice a day. 
When I gave them their tea last night,  I went to pick up their empty bowls and realised they had moved about.
I panicked, because not sure if they had shoved them about,  or whether I had given the meds to Gertie by mistake.  If so,  would it harm her?
I phoned the vet quick, and they said to bring Gertie in for an anti-dote injection incase.
So off I went, worried about yet another bill (I had only just paid them £130-odd quid last week),  but I had a lovely surprise.
The vet quickly injected Gertie with the anti-dote,  and when I asked what I owed her  she said . . .  "Have this one on us."   

Wow.  Wasn't that good of her.    I really appreciated that very kind gesture.

Wanted to get a few bits and bobs. Usually I'd walk but with this weather I went out early in the car and got everything. Was back before it got roasting. I think I get less able to cope with extremes of temperature as I get older.

The family visitors that were coming to stay called it off a few days ago because of the heat..
I was so happy when they told me..
No fun going out in such hot weather.. No fun staying in trying to entertain visitors in this heat..
