I see a second poster was unintentionally getting enlarged text. I have disable the option for size to be set by the tag allowing that which should make things more uniform.

Depends how you were doing it. Give it a try. I disabled the size bbcode which I could see was appearing in what was being pasted in. I've no idea why it started happening or maybe it always did and I didn't notice before.

If I paste stuff in I've always used paste as plain text otherwise it can look odd depending on where it was copied from

Should be. What device/browser are you using to do the copy/paste? It will have been that or the way you did it that was making it big. Plus something must have changed and I'm unsure what exactly. You and somebody else had the problem (I don't recall who) and by setting the forum to ignore the size bbcode all the oddball sizes will be gone now.
