This is unreal, how many more banks of help are to be needed. So far it's food, clothes, school uniform, and now laundry. How the hell will this country pull it's self off it knees.

How many more banks?
Well, going by what this government is doing daily, I foresee food banks in the near future.

I don't have a dryer ( by choice )
I use solar and wind energy - the washing line .
( If it's too wet I hand them on a clothes horse they dry overnight )

However I have a garden and some people do not .

That's exactly my set-up as well. The article says they have 3 washing machines as well as a couple of dryers. I expect some folk will not use the dryers but take the clean things home to dry on the ropes, especially as the weather gets warmer.

Didn't we used to call these "launderettes". I used to use one in the mid 1970s.

But you had to pay to use a Laundrette, these are free for people who can't afford to replace their old washing machines.
Like the food banks you have to be referred, you can't just turn up.
