I've started using the local Post Office as an Amazon pickup location to avoid the need to be in for deliveries but the postmaster is a bit of a miserable sod so I looked for alternate pickups. I saw that a garage just down the road has a pickup locker.

Lockers I've used before involved bar codes or numbers I forget which but this one is accessed by the smartphone app. I don't like the app for buying as I have sausage fingers and find the phone a bit small but do have it on the phone so I tried the locker. It does require a few permission settings but the app guided me through that very quickly, the door opened and I had my stuff in no time without waiting in a queue and putting up with the miseryarse postmaster  :upvote:

Anybody else here use pickup locations for Amazon or seen this type of locker (I won't say new as they probably aren't).

Have used them from time to time, and indeed for dropping off parcels for return.  All pretty seamless and a good idea.

We have them in Morrisons car park.. I have never used them..
The Amazon guy just opens my porch and puts delivery inside.. Never had any problems..
To return any item I pop down to the off license ..the guy there does it all for me..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..
