Earthquake in Portugal

Earthquake strikes Portuguese coast.   7.7 km from Lisbon.    The Epicentre was out at sea.

I can't imagine how terrifying something like this must be to those living there.

That's terrifying ! 
I seem to remember having a hire car in Portugal and the roads were bloody awful - apart from the motorways of course.   :rolleyes:

I wonder how much notice the public get when things like that are about to happen?

Is it all too sudden to warn people,  or can scientists see something's  brewing?
