I don't know if Saga is aware we now have undesirables in the road, but I've received a quote this week for buildings insurance.  Last year it was £89.06 this year they've quoted £217.45  !   I know things have gone up, but by that much ?  :shocked:   This is bog standard cover no accidental damage and an excess of £150 and £400 escape of water.

It's tiresome wading through these comparison sites, but I guess that's my next step.  Grumble over.

I don't blame you at all for having a moan, Alex.   I think we are being ripped off right left and centre by these companies.

Check if any offer cashback too https://www.topcashback.co.uk/home/ is the one I use but there are others e.g. Quidco if they are still going. Get your list of best deals through a couple or more comparison sites then see what the prices offered are if bought through the CashBack site instead. Bit of a faff but I've made decent savings on thing like insurance and broadband.
