Scrumpy

There was a guy on GMB this morning..
He said he hopes to run for the Conservative leadership..
He was yacking away, talking of all the illegals entering our shores..
How the French do not care.. Rwanda is scaped completely by Starmer .. How it all must be stopped because it will get worse..

There was just one little point he omitted to explain about..
It is him and his government who have been in power for many years.. and nothing was done..
Funny how they all know the answers when they are not in power..
Where has he been hiding these last 14 odd years..!!
His name !! James Cleverly (not)..
Don't ask me.. I know nuffink..

Good point.  Of course his government has done nothing but a lot of damage for the past 14 years, and that because (in my opinion) so many Liberals have managed to sneak in to the party presumably because they knew they could never form a government themselves!

I'm sure that, apart from the very worst we have seen of them (Cameron, May, and others) there are still some good and beneficial Conservatives, like Rees-Mogg for instance.

Having seen what the new Labour government have done already, I shall not be surprised if they don't even last five years.  After that, I am of course hoping for a massive surge of Reform voters in a perfectly logical response.  If not, though, and the Conservatives change completely and make it perfectly obvious that they have done so, it is possible that they might get back in again.

I've seen this mentioned before.

The problem is governments only depart when they fail a confidence vote and so cannot control the house, the PM asks the King to dissolve parliament for some reason e.g. because the shit hasn't quite hit the fan but will and there is an outside chance nobody else realises or maybe by some miracle they remain ahead in the polls and fancy a fresh 5 years.

About the only way this lot will be going is when they've had close to their 5 years or things are so bad they fear a lynch mob.

I hope that none of you overlook the fact that Labour & the Courts are the reason that the Rwanda plan didn't materialise.

I'm no longer a Tory supporter but that doesn't mean not stating the facts.

Anyway, Labour are sorting out the immigration problems very quickly, they've virtually cleared the asylum backlog & no longer need the Bibby Stockholm barge.

Not bad for the first three weeks in Government.

Brilliant!  Give 'em all British citizenship!
The ordure will definitely hit the fan when the facts become known.

One can only assume that they put an order into vista print a few weeks ago and the rubber stamps are arriving soon🙄

Starmer's Labour Government will take smoke & mirrors to a whole new level.

As a lawyer he'll be well able to propose things that have small print that will enable the opposite to be actually done.

I'm sure you're right.
However, I sometimes wonder what exactly the Labour party have to gain from these actions.
I suppose that in making illegals legal they will obtain more votes, but in the longer term what will they gain by converting Britain, certainly England, into a predominantly muslim country?

I try to imagine how history might see us in the not too distant future:

"A country, last invaded by the Normans (not the French, but Norsemen) and having since grown in power and influence over the subsequent centuries, until becoming the most powerful nation in the world controlling a quarter of the entire globe.  This then, since toward the end of the twentieth century, has deteriorated in both civilisation and influence until becoming a truly third-world country."

At least we will not have been defeated in war!

They simply don't see it that way. They just see themselves as being the good guys by being welcoming and inclusive.
