I heard on the grapevine (mum's the word, one of my A level tuttees) that an "invigilator" managed to get hold of an exam paper, take piccies of it, and put it up for sale prior to the date upon which the exam was due to be sat.

The expression is ... "leaked"....

.... for (allegedly) £650 a pop.

Leaving aside the fact that this is somewhat unlikely due to many securities being in place, I can advise you that for a "season" of invigilating, one might expect to gross around £1000 if one can be bothered to stand around and be bored for long enough.

Makes one wonder though.  Sell 2 papers and you'll have made the equivalent of a whole summer's income.

Career ending move if caught though and if the story is out that is a distinct possibility.

One would hope so.  After all, it'll generate an element of doubt on those who may have actually managed to achieve a better than expected score through sheer slog and luck.
